Sharon holds a Bachelor of Photography from Photography Studies College, Australia. She has exhibited both locally and internationally and Sharon's work has been collected by the National Library of Australia along with a number of private collections in Australia, The Netherlands and Ireland. She currently resides and practices in the Hepburn Shire, Victoria with her husband and two children.

In my practice I explore my connection to Australia as an Irish born woman living in Regional Victoria. It is my belief that when people experience inter-cultural living outside their homeland the issue of who they are and how they interact with the adopted landscape comes to the forefront. Prior to migration this notion is not an issue, for the most part, as people naturally identify themselves as part of their cultural society and form an almost organic connection to their native landscape.  Since coming to live in Australia the disjunctive experience of living outside my cultural community has provided me with the space to reflect on my own sense of identity and belonging.
